"Sunset" is a short poem by the late American author Howard Phillips Lovecraft. It was first published in the December 1917 edition of amateur press magazine The Tryout ^[1]; it has been reprinted numerous times in the years since, and has been included in an audio reading of Lovecraft's poetry ^[2].

Synopsis

As its title gives away, the three four-line verses of "Sunset" are an ode to the setting of the sun.
